Note: Laboratory (LAB), discussion (DIS), experimental (EXP), internship (INT), practicum (PRA), research (RES), and web (WEB) courses will not have a final scheduled. For course instructors only, if your course is instructed in this method and need a final scheduled, please contact the Registrar’s Office by clicking here.

Classes that are not meeting during a standard meeting pattern:

Classes that begin 30 minutes (or less) after the indicated "time of class", will have their final scheduled in the earliest matching time block. For example, if your class meets MWF at 8:30 AM, your final will follow the MWF 8:00 AM -8:50 AM schedule.
For classes that span multiple hours and days of the week, finals will be scheduled based on the session that best aligns with their class scheduleandminimizes conflicts.
For classes that meet on a single day or MW for fewer than 2.5 hours, finals are scheduled based on the standard meeting pattern encompassed based on the start time of the class. These finals may be scheduled on a day of the week the class did not meet during the term.

Examples:

Class meets Monday from 10am -10:50am: Final follows MWF 10am final schedule.                                         Class meets Thursday from 9:30am -10:20am: Final follows TTH 9:30am final schedule.
Class meets Monday and Wednesday from 10am –11:20am: Final follows MWF 10am schedule.

NOTE: If a class does not follow a standard meeting pattern, the finals schedule may be adjusted to minimize room conflicts and instructor schedules.
Course Instructors Only - Please click here in order to schedule a final time/room for classes not covered above.

Policy statement: If the published finals schedule requires a student to take more than two finals in a 24-hour period, the student can arrange to take one of their finals at another time. The student shall determine which final is to be rescheduled. The rescheduled finalshall be given at a time mutually agreeable to the student and the faculty member. A final may not be rescheduled so as to violate the 24-hour rule.Rescheduling arrangements must be made one week prior to the last day of classes. Unless the student is graduating, the final must be taken during the finals week.

Rescheduling of finals is permitted only:
graduating seniors,
online students,
the religious observance of a holy day (provided that it does not create an unreasonable burden on the University), and to meet the 24-hour rule.
